Fallen, the sophomore album from drum and bass duo Commix, is a stunning display of their production prowess. The album's 10 tracks are a mix of somber melodies and intricate drum patterns that create a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere.

The album opens with "Japanese Electronics," a track that sets the tone with its mellow synth pads and pulsating bassline. From there, the album moves into more upbeat tracks like "Be True" and "Change on Me" that showcase the duo's ability to create dancefloor bangers.

However, the standout tracks on Fallen are the slower, more introspective ones like "Satellite Type 2" and "Underwater Scene." These tracks feature haunting vocals and intricate soundscapes that draw the listener in and create a sense of melancholy.

Commix is the 170bpm creative home for George Levings, and a name synonymous with the very best in forward thinking Drum & Bass. Starting out as a trio, the Commix name has graced some of Drum & Bass leading labels since coming to prominence in the early 2000s, and the debut album, Call To Mind, holds the honour of being the first solo artist album for historic label Metalheadz.
